Postdoc by day, cell whisperer by passion, Yunlong is a globe-trotting scientist who’s cracked bio codes from the labs of France to the labs of UC Irvine. Whether he’s decoding the skin’s secret language through single-cell RNA-seq or analyzing pigmentation pathways like a molecular detective, Yunlong doesn’t just do biology — he lives it.

Fluent in research design, data interpretation, and elegant English phrasing, he’s equally at home refining a manuscript, or translating the soul of a thought from Chinese into polished, native-level English. But science isn’t his only beat — Yunlong also asks deep, provocative questions about society, justice, and the future of democracy, revealing a thinker with both intellect and conscience.
